How many of this device are on order?
Fold the order list into one row per device, or one row per employee, without leaving the preorders page.
What you need first
- Open preorders.
Steps
Open Preorders and click the By device tab above the list.
Each row is one device, totalled across every customer order: how many are still Open, how many are Ordered, how many are Ready and waiting to be collected.
Type the device or its SKU in the search box. The counters at the top follow the search, so they answer "how many of this one do I owe people".
Click the arrow on a row to see the individual orders behind it — the order number, the customer and the date promised.
Click By employee for the same orders grouped by who took them.
What you should see
Anyone who can open Preorders can answer a customer at the counter. Unlike the Buying list, these two tabs never show purchase cost, margin or the shop you buy from.
Common mistakes
- Reading these tabs as your full history — they count Open, Ordered and Ready only. Fulfilled and cancelled orders are not in them.
- Expecting the numbers to mean stock on hand. A preorder never touches stock; Ready means the device arrived, not that it is in your inventory count.
